Picnic Pavilion
« Return to Gallery
A small open air Picnic Pavilion, built in the mid-1990s, is located north of the Marquette Park Pavilion, across the lagoon. It is a brick masonry structure with limestone trim and a clay tile roof. Its style and detail are similar to the Marquette Park Pavilion. The Picnic Pavilion contains public restrooms and the grounds are a designated picnic and grilling area, it may be reserved for outdoor special events.
Two small covered picnic structures and one large covered picnic structure are located between the Gary Bathing Beach Aquatorium and the Marquette Beach Concession building on the north side of Oak Avenue. The structures are designated grilling areas. The large picnic structure is ADA accessible.
