Park Rules

Beach Rules

• Beaches are open to the public from dawn to dusk daily – Memorial Day through Labor Day
• Lifeguards are on duty 10 AM to 6 PM
• Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult
• No swimming is allowed when rip current conditions are dangerous
• In designated swimming areas, swimmers must stay inside buoys and boats must stay outside buoys
• Only public safety motorized vehicles are allowed on the beach
• Open fires, grills, and glass are prohibited
• No dogs or any other animals, except leashed service dogs, are allowed on the beach in swimming areas
• Boats must proceed parallel to the shore and approach the beach in a straight line at no more than five miles per hour
• Litter must be deposited in waste containers
• East of Montgomery Street, the beach is open to the public, dogs must be restrained in this area
• No overnight parking or camping on the beach is allowed
• Bulk removal of sand is prohibited
• Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the beach
